There were some fast works over the strip this morning. in Queens and in LI. They were working for real today. Some were "freaky" good for the AM New York Strip. Some of these will play at the SPA in 2 weeks.

Alter Ego. 3f in 34.x

Shake you Down 4f in 45.x

wild years 5 f in 59.x

Did a little research on this one.

Last ran at AQU in a claiming event on 23Apr03 for 4 year-olds and up. Finished 3rd at 11-1, coming from OFF THE PACE.

34.50....hmmm.

Definitely "horse watch" material.

I feel obliged to give you one back.

CUVEE.

2 year-old got stuck on rail in the Bashford Manor at CD. Had no chance, but rallied bravely outside to pick up a check.

Horrible ride. Look for a switch from Meche.

Wins a stakes at Saratoga. Count on it.

Thanks Shac.

They archive thier works , and they change the URL to the information, once its archived. Here's the New Link to the same day's exercises.

Alter ego.....coming off that race you mentioned. Not Mistaken, he's run against some tough horses at MUCH higher levels. He might be no secret next out...off the Class drop and now this 34. and don't matter. Might be a .90 at a softer level off that BULLET. We'll hope and see.

I Have'nt decided exactly how yet... But I'm reconfiguring my Horse watch list. I've been ignoring more and more of the Notice's I get. I used to have seperate sub-folders in my outlook inbox that I moved all my Horse watch's too. I'd have them alphabetically in a LOng tree .....and I'd save everything...entry notice. workout notice..results notice. I could go in and check a horses works (and entire AM History) for two years. I had it all archived.

Then I lost my enthusiasm for that. I started just deleting notices and ignoring notices. With access to Daily and Archived NYRA workouts its almost not neccassary to put so many on watch. Also... I used to put alot of "BAD TRIP" horses on my watch. Figuring I'd catch them next out at a price.

But now I use the "trip notes" on Formulator. If A horse is entered and I have a TRIP NOTE on him, Formulator automatically inserts my TRIP NOTES into his PP's anytime I download a race card with him on it.

Since I predominately play one circuit. I have no need for ENTRY notifications UNLESS the horse is a shipper. Then I'd need an entry notification to alert to me where he is running.

So I'm going to start to improve my HORSE WATCH LIST..so that I begin Reading them again. I get 5 or 6 a day and I have'nt really looked at more than a few in amonth. Its a waste of time and is cluttering up my e-mail box's.

I'm going to wipe out my watchs and devise a more "credible" system for myself.

Thanks for the Horse. I'll give him a Hard look.

just wondering if u ever experimented with putting any of today's bets that didn't win on one of those notification services...i've never been a big user of trips or works, but one phenomenon i've
noticed, especially as i play more and more tracks, is seeing some plug i bet a couple of weeks ago come back and win, often in a race that i wasn't interested in...always wondered if anybody ever had a " system" that followed a horse for his next couple starts...
thanx.

Oh well,

There goes the price.

I missed that last race because Racereplays.com doesn't carry Delaware.

The bright side is that not all of the horses that get your attention will have articles written about them.

a good idea,,,, and one I'm doing. Is to go the day Shake you down worked out. Find about a 1/2 dozen horses that worked just a few clicks slower than him over the same strip.

And look for them in less obvious spots at much steeper prices.

I know its common that the AM never shows in the PM....but more often than not....nice "in company" works. Or a crowded strip.. the works do translate to good performance... depending on the spot.

This Particular day....Shake you down REALLY drilled...the 2 and 3 works were

LOVING KINDNESS :47.62 h
MIDAS EYES :47.52

The rest were uninspiring. These two Might be worth folllowing once.

Field strength is a GREAT angle when gauging works.
