I am going to hook my 2 computers together with a router. How can I get to the programs and work with them as though they were on 1 computer. I would like to use the computer with the 25 inch screen with out going back and forth and sending data between the 2 desks.

It's called "file sharing", and is done through either "My Computer" or "Windows Explorer".

Caution, be careful with your settings with file sharing, as you do not wish an outside source (via the internet) to have access to your file sharing structure.

I am currently running a network of a different sort, more or less by accident.

My new 23" monitor/HDTV has multiple ports (2HDMI, DVI, rgb, and coaxial cable) and is supporting two computers and satellite TV. It has its own remote and you can click seamlessly between sources.

Still have to burn a disc to get them to communicate, though.
