When I first became associated with the standard bred, the idea of qualifiers was new and a bit hard to fathom as compared to the t-bred.
After hearing the judges decisions on who must enter them to re-qualify, the same sort of thing, such as the old training races the Fair Grounds used to run, are not such a bad idea.
