View Full Version : Why ObamaCare Really isn't about Health Care

The following is a great read. Here's an excerpt:

Why Obama won't stop pushing health care reform

Vladimir Lenin once said, "Medicine is the keystone of the arch of socialism," and it's clear that Obama and Lenin share philosophy. Clearer still is that Obama doesn't care. Not about November. Not about your family. Not about your job. What he prioritizes -- as evidenced by his push for "reform" -- is the "fundamental restructuring" of the American economy.

Sad but true.....
And I believe it was Mosty, who in another thread, accused me of using "buzz" words like "redistribution".
Hey Mosty....maybe you should look no further then the driving principles behind this administration...
Here is what Andy Stern said recently from the above link....
And this is an excerpt...."major opportunity to distribute wealth" and he went on to add, " a new president is trying to do", in referrence to Obama...
What say you now Mosty....???

Well, many of us knew that ObamaCare was never about health care reform. First and foremost it is about HUGELY advancing liberals' socialist agenda through the seizure and control of about 1/6th of the GDP. Lenin said it best, didn't he?

Only a totally clueless, gullible, reality-denying liberal would believe for a second that BO is asking all those Dems in the House who voted "no" the first time around to fall on the sword for altruistic reasons, i.e. because the poor, the suffering, the underclass and underprivileged in this country are dying daily because they can't get their needed health care. No! This is not how BO is trying to convince those Dem holdouts to switch their votes. He's telling them that they must look to the long term by seizing this golden opportunity for the biggest power grab that has come down the 'pike since the New Deal -- one that would have everlasting effects upon the social fabric and economic climate of this country. They must be willing to suffer for the short term in order to procure such great long term effects. This s is how he's trying to persuade them.

Along with the bribery thread I started...you can surely connect the dots unless your one of those "clueless, gullible, reality-denying liberal" you mentioned who only wear the kool-aid colored glasses :).
Although Mosty and his friends might object to us calling them names lol:lol:

I don't know. But I do know Pelosi has delivered the House every time so far.

Looking at Pelosi is like looking at a racehorse who is undefeated but facing better. Is she good enough to win again? I don't know. But it's hard to bet against her with a lot of confidence.

NJ say's he will be here when healthcare passes to see box's implossion. The part NJ doesnt get is he is right...box, along with all of the rest of us cons will have an implossion because WE know what's coming down the tracks if this passes. The sad reality is what kind of implossion are YOU gonna have NJ when it finally hits you libs what is really going on??? Thats gonna be the real implossion! Now you and the rest of your lib friends can sit here and dream of utopia and white unicorns waking you gently in the morning but, there is one thing you can't deny...and that's history is the best gage of future endeavors (when tried before). Why you libs think somehow this is gonna be different then any other socialist experiment alludes me. For that matter, how you all can't see the drag towards socialism, well its just beyond comprehension.
As I, and many others have said,....Pass it already!!!! Come elections in November there will be hell to pay for this absurd behavior in Washington.
Obama himself has stated such.....
At his closing during the summit, and again during his speech this past Wed...he referred to the elections. He knows the american people do NOT want this. Yet he and Pelosi and Reid continue to attempt to muscle votes from Dems who are shuddering at the thought of voting for it and getting booted out of office come November.
So again...write your represenative and tell them to pass the damn thing already. I am amazed the dems and libs are having this much trouble considering they held a super majority up until the Mass election and still hold more then enough to use the nuclear option. Pass it.....

Newtothegame, I said it before and I'll say it again. The system we have sucks cost-wise. My health insurance went up $500 this year and $1,100 in the last three years. The way things are going in a few years my yearly health insurance premium is going to exceed my yearly real estate property taxes - and I live in the state with the highest property taxes in the nation.

Primarily because of that - and because I like the idea of 30M more Americans getting health insurance coverage - I'm willing to roll the dice. I can't see cost going up any faster than it does now - no matter what happens. And I don't share the same dread that our quality of healthcare is going to suffer like many here do. The next time I meet a senior citizen who complains about the quality of care he/she is receiving under government-run Medicare will be the first time.

And one more thing. I can't ever see Republicans doing a damn thing in the way of healthcare reform. They had their chances and never lifted a finger.

No. I'm wrong. They lifted one finger.

CBO: National Deficit to Hit Nearly $10 Trillion Over Upcoming Decade
WASHINGTON -- A new congressional report released Friday says the United States' long-term fiscal woes are even worse than predicted by President Barack Obama's grim budget submission last month.

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office predicts that Obama's budget plans would generate deficits over the upcoming decade that would total $9.8 trillion. That's $1.2 trillion more than predicted by the administration.

Chinese military buildup concerns US lawmakers, administration

Posted: Thursday , Jan 14, 2010 at 0929 hrs Washington:

US lawmakers on Thursday expressed serious concern over Chinese military buildup, which was agreed to by top officials of the Obama Administration at a Congressional hearing.

"I remain concerned by trends and ambiguities regarding China's military modernisation, including its missile buildup across from Taiwan and steady increase of its power projection capabilities," Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, Ike Skelton, said.

Skelton said the US must work together with China for settlement of conflicts and reductions of tensions that contribute to global and regional instability, including denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula, the Iranian nuclear issue, and the situation in South Asia.

He said China's military budget continues a trend of double-digit increases at a time when the country provides more and more loans that support the American economy.

This quote means nothing to me. I've been to the UK over 35 times. You don't have to believe me but democracy thrives there. That all Brits have one less thing to worry about in life - access to affordable healthcare - is a plus not a minus in my book. It may not be Utopia but it's pretty damn good.

England has evolved into a cesspool of socialism. The addicts of dependency over there only think they're free. So, what it's a "democracy"? You know how it goes with that form of government, don't you: Democracy is the rule of Jackals elected by Jackasses. This is why the U.S. isn't a pure democracy.

I disagree. If ObamaCare passes, the nation loses big time and for a very long time, while the Dems would suffer election losses for only a cycle or two -- a relatively small "hell breaks loose" price to pay. The choice for a radical left winger would be a no-brainer, since passing something would be a huge step toward all-out socialism. For all other types, it would take arm twisting, more bribes, favors, threats, etc. to convince them to fall in ranks with their more radical comrades.

Conversely, not getting ObamaCare passed would indeed represent a huge setback for the Dems, since the nation already senses the Democrat Party is filled with left wing extremists and would probably vote very many incumbents out anyway in the upcoming elections. Therefore, how the radicals are going to try to convince the "moderates" (so called) to change their minds and why their dissent is really not a viable option is by presenting the Party's situation as a lose-lose if they don't pass a health care reform bill because the Dems would have accomplished nothing and still wind up losing a lot of elections, too! A very unpleasant double whammy!

Of course, this will all be a very hard sell for Pelosi because she has to overcome the selfishness that naturally inheres in most politicians, since most are in the game for themselves, anyway. Therefore, she needs to get the holdouts thinking in terms of what's best for the "party" before self -- tough sell to be sure but not an impossible one given the lack of scruples, principles, ethics and general state of moral impoverishment within the Democrat Party. We must not forget that they are the Party of Evil.

You just gotta love this:

Obama's health care pitch to Democrats: Trust me

WASHINGTON – In private pitches to Democrats, President Barack Obama says he will persuade Congress to pass his health care overhaul even if it kills him and even if he has to ask deeply distrustful lawmakers to trust him on a promise the White House doesn't have the power to keep.

That, in a sometimes darkly joking way, is what the president is telling Democratic House members as he begins an all-out push to coax Congress into passing his proposals despite voters' misgivings and Republicans' dire warnings.

   "...even if it kills him..."  We should be so lucky.

And lawmakers are deeply distrustful of him? I wonder why?  Oh...yeah the piece says why: Because he'll make promises that he can't keep.

It so great having a man of such great honor and integrity in the White House.

So here we have Tom's Axis of Evil -- the Trifecta of Con Artists -- who will try to make marks out of other con artists in order to get this thing passed.
Talk about a hard sell!
