I have two rules for talking about bets I have made.

Rule 1...When talking with fellow gamblers, understate my loses, overstate my winnings.
Rule 2 ...When talking to non-gamblers, DON'T TELL THEM ANYTHING

Rule 2 is extremely important.
Non gamblers are a seperate phylum of life,

Interesting stories as to how many people, even those really good at it, have lost marriages as winning money this way is somehow dishonest.
Joe Tackach is one who had to endure that result.

Taking this a step further, if others outside of horse racing we aware that you were at a disadvantage of 20-25% going in before your "investment" they would label you a horses ass. ;)
