Best collection of takeout data I've seen in a while. (Most references on the web take you to an outdated list that includes Elmira)

After getting frustrated trying to get the data from individual tracks, (Some were very nice and helpful some were brushoffs,) I did my own table from total pools and final payoffs using a little math magic (Excel Solver Function). It was close enough for my purposes and in pretty good agreement with your numbers, considering it includes breakage. (I used an ave of 10-20 races so breakage accounts for an additional 0.5% in US and 0.25% in Canada for these numbers)

Here's what I've been using

32% super take at some PA tracks. That's fair, and good to grow business

Breakage is pretty standard. On win bets it averages around .3 to .6%

Nice work, HP.

When playing Batavia, I'd occasionally see the abrev "TRU." Until now, I never knew what track it was.

Looking at the map, I'm surprised that there's only one track near Montreal.

Did Rideau Carlton used to be Blue Bonnets?

Blue Bonnets is now Hippodromes something or other and is located in Montreal. Rideau Carleton is located near Ottawa Ontario.
At this time, there is no racing in Quebec...it shut down either last year or the year before.

Good timing on this info as the Meadowlands changes their reward program (Big M Club) on Mar 15th.

Instead of a flat rate based on your handle, your reward % will now be computed based on what type of bet you make and the breakage at the track you are playing.

Québec racing was halted in Spring 2009.

Blue Bonnets is now called Hippodrome de Montréal, but it will probably never reopen as the politicians in Montréal have let it be known that they want that track developed for housing and commercial interests. Considering that it's owned by the province...well, there you go.

"TRU" is the code for Truro Raceway, a half-mile track with year-round racing in Nova Scotia.
