Did anyone just catch the woman who lost control and went off the course into a ravine on a practice run? She was the favorite for the gold medal and according to announcers she probably won't be able to ski.

I didn't see anyone go down a ravine, but the announcers were saying a woman by the name of Petroc Majdic (??) came back from being down a "ditch," qualified for the sprint final, won the Bronze medal and then collapsed. I saw the sprint final, and they were taking her away after the race in an ambulance.
She was totally exhausted.

Yes she dropped down about 15 feet into a ravine. Just won the bronze.

I think the medics took her to an ambulance. I'm looking to confirm that.

Vancouver, 17 February (STA) - Pre-race favourite Petra Majdic won bronze in the women's classical sprint at the Vancouver Olympics Wednesday, making a stunning comeback after injuring her ribs in a nasty training crash
