i don't recall who i was discussing her with during the churchill meet in november, but she came in for da bisket today. i missed the exacta and the trifecta on her but had 20 on her nose. i've been watching her since last spring. she was supposed to go to england with mcpeek last spring but was injured. she looked really good in her last race, but was stopped badly in the stretch. well she won the la canada today at santa anita. woooooohooooo!!!!! da bisket gets a new pair of shoes. :jump:

Yep....."Smith not to blame", post number 2....had good amount on the 4 to win and missed the exacta when the 13 missed second.....difference is that I posted it BEFORE the race...:).....congrats and hope you got a couple new pairs!

i placed the bet this morning and i've been out all day. was it you who i discussed her with in november? i really wish she woulda came in last out. after all the wagers on her i basically have broken even on her now.

I was just busting your chops....I only posted my pick because someone started the thread right before the race went off.....we didnt chat in November but I loved her today....I love McPeek and the second off the layoff fit.....great minds must think alike!

i played her at churchill, and the last race. she was ready to pop in her last one, but she got stopped really badly by the pace runners backing up. i gotta look back but i think she was 20-1 in the last race. my other horse for the exacta won in that one. :bang: with her having an excuse last out thats probably why her odds were lower this time.

Yes, and if smokin Joe Talamo gets the 13 up for 2nd its a nice exacta for me as well, but I will settle for my win bet at $28.60

I wish I had your direct line for that one. It was the only horse in the late pick 4, late pick 3 I missed (on both sequences). Had that foreign horse Gripsholm Castle who ran 2nd.

I held out hope they would have taken him down for passing my horse too fast in the stretch, but it was not to be. :p Congratulations.

I was all over her. She had a horrific trip in her last race and it cost me the pick four. I singled her on a $60 ticket yesterday and missed the horse down the hill for nine grand. I had contemplated hitting the "ALL" button in there but my ticket would have been $200 and it made more sense to me to put the bulk of my money on her straight. How often do you love a horse that opens at 30-1 on the line? The payoff was still great. She should have been no worse than 6-1 in my opinion.
