It's Super Saturday and yet, the 5th looks like a race where a guy can make a buck. I see no clear standout, but several that will draw money and have sincere vulnerabilities.
(#3) Strategist is listed at 6-1 and seems like a gem of a 'key' in hefty exotic plays. Always has been a little better than a bottom claimer, but was never good enough for the level which he was consistently running over the last two years. He lacks a winning instinct, but generally tries hard enough to get part when not severely outclassed. Six and a half should suit him perfectly, gets a rider that excels with the "lazy gelding syndrome" types and I'm thinking that there are limitless possibilities for building trifectas and superfecta tickets that key off of this guy in this spot.
PS - my batting average in these posts is only slightly better than Ozzie Smith's... so you've been warned.
