The breed today is weaker as speed has been bred for years now but the TC is totally fine I think.

It's no ones fault. No one won the TC for 25 years before Secretariat than 3 horses won it in 3 years. People complain about it now. There have been 11 horses since to win the first two.
They say no one comes close now and it's TOO tough? So wait if Silver Charm or Real Quiet stick a neck or nose out. We have two TC winners and it's only been 11 years since a TC. If Birdstone is not rested or entered we have a TC winner in 2004.

Bottom line. In the last 13 years we had 7 possible TC winners. That's UNBELIEVABLE. That's with the great Barbaro breaking down after whipping horses in the derby(who knows if he'd would've won). That's with Big Brown throwing a shoe and having a hoof problem in the Belmont. That's also with Point Given and Afleet Alex somehow losing the derby :confused:
Horses have dominated the TC for years.

You would think from srticles and talk that no horse has won even two or that all the horses finished 40 lengths behind in the Belmont everytime. The TC is perfect IMO and horses have been on the cusp of winning it almost every year. Gotta be special to win it. ;)

Plus if they want to change the time frame of the races or even one of their distances too we will then have alot more winners and they will proclaim. "(Horses name) is now a TC winner and in the same ranks as Secretariat,Seattle Slew,Citation,etc!". Kind of sad.
