Well, that Churchill nag yesterday ran like a 3 legged goat,so to atone here is a six pack of frosty runners that may put a few sheckels in your pockets.

When using numbers here*lower is better*

There are a trio of gee gees at the "border" oval that are interesting.

Fort Erie Race 5

8 Ocala Frost morning line 8-1

There are 17! entrants in this maiden turf tilt, and most sane handicappers would turn the page. If we go back a year this horse earned a 25 and that would be good enogh here.Third off the layoff with 40 and a 30 bodes well an iimproved effort.

Race 9

6 Nite At The Oscars morning line 3-1

Hot commodity in the claim box is always interesting to me,as is the 17 earned last October. Fourth start in the form cycle
20 33 and improving to 23 I think the trainer realizes he has a run of the mill claimer because he was definitely over his head in the last 2-an alw and opt. claimer

Race 10

10 Godchild morning line 12-1

Somebody has to win this cheapie--it may as well be this guy. The 22 last November would do the trick. Has come back with 44 and 32 and is not up against any world beaters here. Should be a square price.

Churchill Downs Race 4

7 Mighty Surprized morning line 8-1

Cheap claimers like this can run real good with decent back numbers and excuses. The 21 in November is tops here--3rd start of the form cycle-the comebacker was 30 and subsequent was paired at 30 in the mud 5 wide. Mckee takes the mount which is a bonus.

Woodbine Race 10

5 Gold Glory Won morning line 7/2

Broke the maiden in April earning a 19 and since has been searching for the second win of it's career. Four efforts of 30 26 24 and 21 make him eligible to grab all the goodies in this restricted claimer.

Hollywood Park Race 9

9 Golden Bonus morning line 6-1

Whoa nellie--a 9 horse field in California!!! The trainer of this doggie has him spotted exclusively in mile and sixteenth events in the last 10--a top of15 at FPX last September and 16 at SA in March. These 2 efforts would gine him the win here after going 17 22 25 and improving to 23 last out.
An upgrade to Solis in the irons does not hurt.

Good luck today

Good morning Canuck. Could you explain what your figures refer to please? For instance Woodbine race 10 Gold Glory Won earned a 19 in April. How would this compare to the 75 Beyer or the 88 track speed rating. Thanks in advance.

Skanoochies. P.S. Good luck today.:) :)

The numbers are basically a performance number a la Beyer or the DRF speed rating that is put on a graph to identify form cycles.
It comes with the software and i have no idea how it is derived.
