and now the department of education is getting in on the action (https://www.fbo.gov/index?s=opportunity&mode=form&id=cb68cf9f3fa2fe18a83d1c3dee0039b2&tab=core&_cview=0), sending out bids for 27 shotguns. why would the department of education require shotguns? Is this for the DC and Chicago middle schools? Notice that the description says that these 27 have to be compatible with their "current inventory".

This is probably what they're using to force feed BO propaganda down the throats of students. It's their way of applying gentle persuasion.

Yeh student loans, small bus loans, tax debts etc. are not forgivable, but I think the real intent is to increase the economy by selling more tanks etc.

After reading this can anyone truly, and with a straight face, say that we need more gun control in this country? If the IRS is ordering shotguns with all the bells and whistles dont go tellin me I cant have one too.

Wonder if they had to wait the mandatory time before buying....hmmm.

Another new ploy by the bottom feeding gubbermint is OSHA targeting businesses for surprise businesses so they can issue fines. They have a Wehrmacht of zombie inspectors out there sucking the public dry.

I was thinking that the IRS would better off buying anti-aircraft guns instead.;)

Remington 870's are fine shotguns, but why the 14 inch barrels, that is way too short? They would fall under the definition of a sawed off shotgun, which is technically illegal, so am assuming that the IR-SS is exempt? Also, a shotgun with a barrel chopped so short would have a full choke, not modified. Some questions here. The weapons as defined, would have to be custom ordered from Remington, they do not exist.

Yeah, like B.O.'s ass buddy, Andy Stern says, "We like to use the power of persuasion, if that don't work, we'll use the persuasion of power."

Q: Will the IRS hire 16,500 new agents to enforce the health care law?

A: No. The law requires the IRS mostly to hand out tax credits, not collect penalties. The claim of 16,500 new agents stems from a partisan analysis based on guesswork and false assumptions, and compounded by outright misrepresentation.

This wildly inaccurate claim started as an inflated, partisan assertion that 16,500 new IRS employees might be required to administer the new law. That devolved quickly into a claim, made by some Republican lawmakers, that 16,500 IRS "agents" would be required. Republican Rep. Ron Paul of Texas even claimed in a televised interview that all 16,500 would be carrying guns. None of those claims is true.

The IRS’ main job under the new law isn’t to enforce penalties. Its first task is to inform many small-business owners of a new tax credit that the new law grants them — starting this year — which will pay up to 35 percent of the employer’s contribution toward their workers’ health insurance. And in 2014 the IRS will also be administering additional subsidies — in the form of refundable tax credits — to help millions of low- and middle-income individuals buy health insurance.

the IRS budget will increase by 10%, or about a billion a year and they currently employ over 100,000. If 16,000 new hires is too high, then how many will they hire? It has to be at least 10,000.
and why does it cost so much money and require so many people to "hand out" tax credits? are they going to do this door to door?

Yeah...right. In this day and age with all the technology we have at disposal, the best way to "inform many small businesses" is with 17,000 new pairs of boots on the ground?  Shirley U. Jest, Mr. 'cap! And if you're not, you're more shot than even I imagined.
