Is there ever a use for a radar gun in horseracing?

Might be tough......I don't think the signal would get reflected off of one individual horse. You might get a variable reading from an entire pack of horses. I have used Radar on a zillion cars and on some airplanes, but don't know about horses?

I am wondering why the question? Did you see someone using radar at a track? a Laser gun might be a different subject.

No but I heard they used a stun gun on a horse in the UK back in the 80s when the "wrong" horse was leading nearing the wire.

I've been tempted to use a shotgun on a jockey before.
