Excerpt:

White House officials have told the Justice Department to consider other venues for the 9/11 terror trial that was to be held in lower Manhattan, the Daily News has learned.

The decision came after Mayor Bloomberg and other politicians across the state railed against President Obama's plan to try Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in Manhattan Federal Court.

Invite all the 911 families and about 15,000 Cubie fans and roll 'em into Wrigley for about 6 hours.

I suggest Washington DC or Hollywood.

DC is good...they can all drop by the WH for a cold beer after court everyday.

They ought to fix up Al-Catraz for these kinds of situations. They could hold the trial and jail 'em in one convenient location. And holding them just offshore from the loony libertines of San Fran would just about be torture. That would be a government expenditure I'd be all for.

Now that it becomes clear these turds are not coming to NY, it could come down to be one of the most bone headed decisions in many years. It took Bloomberg, Schumer & some other patsies to roll this around? BO should be ashamed of himself for not having the gonads to have 180'd months ago.

Eric Holder: Head on a stick #2.
Napolitano: Head on a stick #1.

It seems like they still want it to be in NY somewhere, just not in the city.
Another well planned and executed, smooth operation. Good thing we have such smart people in charge of the country.

You're right! At least the terrorists don't pretend to be on the side of America.

Jim Webb is a very good man (a democrat too). He was Sec of Navy under Reagan and was a marine officer who served in Vietnam. He appears in the Appalachian area of SW VA often.

excerpt:

Trying the 9/11 co-conspirators, including Kahlid Sheikh Mohammed, in federal, civilian court just got a bit harder. Support for trying these men in New York City has been dwindling, and some reports indicate the site has been scrapped, though the Administration contends NYC is still a viable option.
Now legislation has resurfaced that would shut off funding for civilian trials altogether, only this time it has Democratic support. Sens. Jim Webb, D-VA, and Blanche Lincoln, D-AR, have joined the fight to deny the funds, making it harder for such trials to continue.
