it's been interesting to follow whats going on here. The people in Portland are huuuuuge libs, so i mostly hear people that are going to vote for it.

But in the shocker of all shockers, the Oregonian actually came out against the tax increases. i dont think they've ever sided with a conservative idea period!!

hopefully the rest of the state come out and votes no tomorrow.

The economy here is quite sad right now, (portland meadows all sources handle is up though, on track is the same) :)

People in the US don't realize the deal the teachers union and Municiple unions have. They have the best health care and pension deals on earth. I am an administrator in the health care field. I had to raise our co-pays for health insurance to 35 per visit in order to cut our budget, in order to just remain at break even. The teachers and Govt workers here in CT pay $5 co-pays and have the top of the line health care plans. You would think with a tremendous budget deficit here they would look in the mirror, raise their own co-pays and save millions, but they don't, and no one says a thing. Unions stink, someday they will all get what they deserve.
