I doubt she will be cranked up fast enough to make the trip to Dubai. Would suspect we'll see her in the Apple Blossom at the earliest.

I doubt it. Money is not an issue with them. I think they will just dominate the older male races in the United States and make Rachel chase her into a race like the Jockey Club Gold Cup at 10f instead of a 9f dirt race.

Listening to a couple of radio interviews Mr. Moss did Sunday morning, he says no.
" There are are more than enough opportunities in the U.S. "

I believe if there wasn't a Rachael Alexandra, that Zenyatta would have definately been retired after her Classic win.

But how can one retire a great race mare who is training so well knowing that her career would be incomplete without competing against the "other" great female of her era?

I would bet that this was the biggest deciding factor for her remaining in the game this season.

Therefore, Dubai is the last thing on the minds of her connections.

A win in Dubai, and I can't think who out there right now would beat her in the Classic, shatters Curlin's earnings record. And she will still be on a perfect schedule to be bred and have a March foal in 2011. I see one prep and then Dubai and then goodbye.

Moss didn't sound like he was the least bit interested in Dubai today on the Racing in America show, said it was up to Shirreffs.

I really don't want to see her go to Dubai.

It would knock her out afterwards, and considering how conservate her trainer is, we may not see her until the BC. It would eliminate all the fun that could be had earlier on in the year.

I'd rather see Zenyatta enter classic races...preferably G1 open company dirt races on the east coast.

You mean the same guy that said she was retired and had done enough?

She won't go to Dubia (Moss pretty much said as much today on HRTV)...and that is fine with me...if she were mine, no way I'd send her there.
I beleive she'll have another year of 4, 5 or 6 races...she breezed in 1:01 today...I beleive her first start back may be in the Santa Marguarita on March 1...so we have a way to go yet before she'll even run:faint: .

I won't jump the gun...because it's gonna be very hard waiting for her first start...then the fun really begins and we'll see where she & RA will meet.

She has as much chance of showing up in Dubai as RA does in OP in Apr.

2 early for both of them.

I don't don't see why all the Surprise in her (Zenyatta) running this year. I thought she would all along. As far as Rachel A., who knows if they will ever face each other. It would be great for horse racing and probably create and introduce a lot of new fans to horse racing. Especially the ladies, and I am all in favor of more ladies in this sport. (they look and smell better than all of you hairy legged guys) :D

About 20 minutes after the announcment, many here began mentioning Dubia...I said, no way she goes...
Sherriff's said in an interview...no Dubia:

And I am fine with that...it's simply too much for most horses to deal with, besides the point that they are aiming for another run in the Classic, wanting to tie Tiznow's two wins...and, IMO, that is a much better goal.

I noticed a few mentioned the Arc:D

It seems to me the Dubai people may make the temptation ($$$) too great for her not to run.
