As usual, horses that I am adding to my "To Watch" list are so indicated. There is one sneaky entry of the sort that can pay large dividends later on. That horse is Ardens Storm N. who raced in the 9th. On paper, we have a horse who started from the 10 hole and finished an undistinguished 7th. However, the circumstances of this 7th place finish were unusual. He tried to leave some but was blocked in a stalled outer flow though crawling fractions. Brennan then launched him three wide around the final turn, losing ground into a pace that was now flying. The loss of only 3/4 of a length from the half to the wire in a breakneck :55.1 last half was actually excellent. And so, a miserable-looking line may be converted into something positive.
