75 today. With modern techniques he'd probably look as good as he did in '65.

Even as a kid, I always got a bang out of his movie character names. The reigning champ is obviously Toby Kwimper which he played in Follow That Dream.

Others include:

King Creole - Danny Fisher
Blue Hawaii - Chad Gates
Girls Girls Girls! - Ross Carpenter
It Happened at the World's Fair - Mike Edwards
Fun in Acapulco - Mike Windgren
Kissin' Cousins - Josh Morgan / Jodie Tatum
Viva Las Vegas - Lucky Jackson
Roustabout - Charlie Rogers
Girl Happy - Rusty Wells
Tickle Me - Lonnie Beale / Panhandle Kid
Harum Scarum - Johnny Tyronne
Double Trouble - Guy Lambert
Clambake - Scott Hayward / 'Tom Wilson'
Stay Away, Joe - Joe Lightcloud
The Trouble with Girls - Walter Hale
GI Blues - Tulsa McLean
Flaming Star - Pacer Burton

If reincarnation exists and you can pad your order, I'm punchin' back in as E.

If the average citizen knew your head of hair made E look silly, they would bow with hair grace to your altar.

All hail the hair of T. ;)

JHS, "If I Can Dream" was an outstanding choice. Speakers wide open, no doubt.

Around Elvis birthday time, though, a southern girl would be remiss if she didn't offer his "American Trilogy". The piccolo solo, still, gives me chills.

This man WAS an extraordinary showman.

(I need to learn how to imbed these things.)

This is my favorite, even with the fake "false start". He was most kingly during the Sun period before RCA added the Jordanaires and orchestration. Give me the hilbilly cat with just Bill and Scotty.
