Alternatively, can someone can point me to a website where I could purchase and download this report. DRF seems to only have daily ROI reports and Brisnet only has indivdual jockey reports. I need a report which summarizes all jockeys for 2009 sorted by top ROI.

Thanks

The nation's two best "value" jockeys were Stanley Luis Ortega and Paco Lopez. This is strictly based on 2009 and for jockeys who had a minimum 750 mounts'

Neither Ortega or Lopez showed a flat bet profit, but they came close.

Ortega rode 801 mounts with 16% wins at an average win mutuel of $12.00.

Lopez rode 1050 mounts with 17% wins at an average win mutuel of $11.00.

As a comparison, Garrett Gomez won 22% and an average win mutuel of $7.00.

Based strictly on our proprietary statistical formula combining average odds per starter (mount), average odds per winner, closing odds and finish position, FIELD SIZE and also combining our separate consistency and value formulas, the top three jockeys in the country for 2009 were (in order):

Russell Baze
Juan C Diaz
Paco Lopez

You can argue all you want that none of these three are Garrett Gomez, Ramon Dominguez or Rafael Bejarano. But this is based strictly on betting purposes, not on stakes wins.

Ramon is clearly #1.

Ramon Dominguez is an absolute god. To accept over 1,600 mounts and STILL have a win pct of 24% is unheard of at that level.
