I ask this not to be a jerk but because I don't really know. With that record betting against the juice, what would be your net if you bet $1,000 a game? I used to know how it works but it has been a long time.

Nice picking today!

It's a little bit easier to explain if you assume that he is betting $1100 to win $1000 on each game. The 3 pushes don't factor in, so there are 33 W and 29 L for a total of 62 bets.

62 bets @ $1100 per game is $68,200. He gets his $1100 back for each game won, plus his winnings of $1000 per game. So $2100 x 33 W is $69,300, this, he is up $1100.

Break even for sports betting is 52.4 percent. He is at a very respectable 53.2 percent. There aren't many that can do that over the long haul

Thank you. I know it is a tough nut. I imagine there are better deals around these days than 10% online which might make it a little easier.

1-2 this week. Ugh. No effort from the Eagles. Finished up the regular season at 27-21. The last three weeks were bad.

Way to finish up, BetHorses!

33 wins x $1,000 = +$33,000

29 losses x $1,100 = -$31,900

or some places offshore are mostly -105 juice on average

29 losses x 1,050 = -$30,450

Thanks, small profit. I posted a new system play here using my power ratings. Best way for me to keep track. Not happy with it. Was down most of the year, but heated up towards the end. If you want the premier plays just e-mail me anytime, no charge :)

Hard to understand the logic of selecting the Bengals +10 last night. I am not red boarding but the fact is in this league at this time there was little incentive for the Bengals to go all out for the game...and Vegas was just begging you to take the bengals evidenced by the line.

Not sure that the Bengals would have wanted to face the Texans had they beat the Jets . Would have been facing a fired up Texan team riding high in their first ever playoff game . Believe they would rather face the Jets again at home . The Bengals simply didn't want to play last night and just wanted to get off the field .

I would think the Welker injury had a lot of people playing safe in the late and evening games.

100% agreed...that's the point of betting the Bengals and the 'sucker' 10 points a real low percentage situation.

Every year you hear about teams getting hot at the end are the teams to watch. But I say, it is the teams that don't take weeks off and do not sit players and had to fight for it going into the playoffs.

Bet against the teams that sat out players....

Yes, this was the last game of a rather large parlay bet that I had going to the Jets. Foolishly, I laid off some of my winnings by betting the Bengals plus 9.5.
Anytime I have ever hedged, be it Horses or Sports, it has not paid off.

You're right that was pretty good - the only difference may be that it's more difficult to pull that off at the pro level than the NCAA; still pretty impressive !!!
