Hi guys & girls!

I am a horse owner in Sweden and wonder if any of you follow and wager on the Swedish harness races (V75, V64 etc.)?

Happy New Year to all of you,

Rinus

I would definitely watch the races but the only states you can bet the v75 and v64 are New Jersey and Illinois, which leaves 95% of the country blocked. The best us Americans can do is watch the replays.

Youbet allows Pennsylvania betting and past performances are free, what stops me is the need to decipher the programs.:)

but I still play a few number combinations when there's the big million carryovers.

Good Luck with your race horses, Rinus

I occasionally dabble in Swedish racing. As Ray2000 stated, the difference in past performance information keeps me from playing more often. It would be nice if there could be a standardization of information. It doesn't need to be identical to the current North American past performance information, but similar.

I blogged about this once.

Hi Ray2000,

Have a look at www.shrr.eu for ranking of the horses for the Swedish V75 & V64 races (that's where the big money is!).
It's based on past performance of the horses, drivers, trainers etc.
The best of all is that it is all in English!

Regards

PS Have a look at their "Tips" section for system proposals.

Rinus,
Most every track in North America has utilized extensive race-lines per each horse and within each race on the card. This data method has been used for sixty years or more.
The race lines are basically an accumulation of same data from multiple results charts.

Trackmaster offers Sample Downloads (http://www.trackmaster.com/harness/demos/hsamp.htm?hpp) on this page.
Navigate to the right column (Trackmaster Past Performance Ten Line) and third row and select The Meadowlands 2/21/08 (http://amazoncdn.trackmaster.com/harness/demos/mxx0221r.pdf).

These data files are also available from Trackmaster is a straight ascii-delimited format, which allow importing into Excel and other softwares.

Once the wagering public (at least the regulars) has been exposed to any data that may provide lesser insights, than wagering is simply not an option.

Many of the folks in the PA analyze their selections using computer software's.

Hi Wilderness,

Thanks for the information.
Overhere we have similar info available as Trackmaster has but still you have to do a lot of work to compare each horse, trainers, drivers an so on.
That's where I have found that the info that for example SHHR gives is quite interesting and saves you a lot of work.

Here the experienced players also use reducing systems, that is for example for the V64 races where you have to guess the winning horses in 6 races,
you can take on more horses on your system and pay less by adding conditions such as that at least 3 so called A-horses and at least 1 B-horse and 1 C-horse must win.
Ofcourse this means that you have to submit more tipping coupons to the Thote but that you do nowadays in one click via the computer.

Best regards
