Greetings to all,
I just got a new computer with Windows 7. I transferred the files for MPH and TRS by Matt Thomas to my new machine. When I try to install them, I get an incompatability window regarding needing at 32bit or 64bit system.
I am a computer iliterate. Can this problem be resolved??
Thanks,
Cecil

I have TRS and have been unable to get it working in Windows 7. The installer hangs on the very first screen. I have tried all the compatibility settings for the setup.exe file, but it hangs everytime. Your best bet might be to go to VMWare.com and download the free VMware Player. This will allow you to install an earlier verion of Windows as a Virtual Machine on your Windows 7 computer. Once you have the earlier version of Windows installed in the Player, you could then install TRS or any other program in their native envirionment. Of course, you will need the Windows CD for the version you want to install.

I do not have any W7 (yet), so, this is just FYI and not a recommendation or an endorsement. I seem to recall some one on this board has already explored this new MS wrinkle. Try searching the OT-computer section.

I have Windows 7 32 bit and the dos version of MPH works just fine. I'm not sure what the error you get means, but the Pro and Ultimate version of Windows 7 have the XP mode upgrade option which allows you to run older legacy programs if necessary
