I guess most who rec'd this gift (http://www.orau.org/ptp/collection/atomictoys/GilbertU238Lab.htm) as a kid died later of some mysterious ailment. I never saw it before but would like to know if anyone on here ever did. how times have changed. the link has more details, its funny.

In the 50s, every thing was going to be nuclear. The scariest thing I ever heard of was that Ford had a nuclear powered car on the drawing board.

1958 was stationed at Ft Lee Va. We all had to take part in eating food that had been treated with Radiation. Was set on the shelf for I think 90 days before cooked. Never saw any reports later on the outcome. It must have been OK. I'm still kicking at 71. (MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE from Birmingham AL)
