Hugo Chavez, so far the star of the show, brought down the house yesterday at the climate summit with his anti capitalist rant which really got the crowd worked up.
Not to be outdone, here comes Obama, Pelosi (http://www.nypost.com/p/news/national/pelosi_climate_air_farce_Ffs6YfkXfxX3eTFJigpEaP)an d company with numerous planeloads of politicians including the inestimable Charlie Rangel to join in the fray and worship at the alter of climate change.

they'll spend millions on this, and will accomplish nothing but they'll get to live the high life on the taxpayer dime. Go get'em guys. In fact why don't you stay over there. Don't worry we'll get along just fine without you.

WASHINGTON -- House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (http://www.nypost.com/t/Nancy_Pelosi) is leading a large delegation on at least two Air Force jets to Copenhagen for the climate summit -- where participants harshly condemn the use of jet airplanes for the high amounts of CO2 they emit.

"This may be the largest congressional (http://www.nypost.com/t/U.S._Congress) delegation I have ever heard of," said a source at the 89th Air Wing stationed at Andrews Air Force Base of the trip to the UN summit, which is increasingly being criticized as a farce.

Using her authority as speaker, Pelosi reserved at least two jets based at Andrews AFB to fly her and her delegation to Denmark for the final days of the two-week conference.

But Republicans (http://www.nypost.com/t/U.S._Republican_Party) on Capitol Hill and the 89th Air Wing source said Pelosi actually reserved five planes to carry a delegation that includes as many as 24 Democrats (http://www.nypost.com/t/U.S._Democratic_Party) and six Republicans.

At a time when Democrats are grappling with a host of major issues from health-care reform to the financial crisis, Pelosi planned yesterday to clip short the workweek to make the climate summit.

"Climate change is a religion for them, so there was no way they were going to miss this," said one top GOP (http://www.nypost.com/t/U.S._Republican_Party) aide. "This is their Hajj."

A Democratic source insisted that the delegation would be using just two planes but would not specify further.

While the final manifest remained in flux late yesterday, it was said to include more than two dozen members of Congress (http://www.nypost.com/t/U.S._Congress), several spouses and committee staffers.

Blizzard Dumps Snow on Copenhagen as Leaders Battle Warming

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601130&sid=a5wStc0K6jhY

Excerpt:

Delegates from 193 countries have been in Copenhagen since Dec. 7 to discuss how to fund global greenhouse gas emission cuts. U.S. President Barack Obama will arrive before the summit is scheduled to end tomorrow.
Denmark has a maritime climate and milder winters than its Scandinavian neighbors. It hasn’t had a white Christmas for 14 years, under the DMI’s definition, and only had seven last century. Temperatures today fell as low as minus 4 Celsius (25 Fahrenheit).

DMI defines a white Christmas as 90 percent of the country being covered by at least 2 centimeters of snow on the afternoon of Dec. 24.

Hillary, today, promised 100 billion to a bunch of third-world American hating countries, in the name of global warming.

What a worthless bitch.

Doesn't natural selection apply to nations, too?

oh my! say it ain't so.

"Friends of the Earth said in a statement, "Obama has deeply disappointed not only those listening to his speech at the UN talks, he has disappointed the whole world."

No surprise. Carbon emission capping and point trading is all about the redistribution of wealth from your pocket to the third world. That's what Copenhagen is all about. That's what the Global Warming hoax is all about.
The Red are hiding behind The Green Movement. Unfortunately the majority who are speaking "Green" don't know they are puppets for larger manipulators.
It's all about wealth redistribution.

That's it, everything will cost more so it can be labelled "Green".....:D .....What a crock of crap...!

best,

Right. Carbon capping will cost money. Low end estimates are $ 175 / year per household. High end estimates are $ 300/month/ household.
However you carve it, carbon capping will cost money and do absolutely nothing for the planet.

Who were the six Republicans? I'd like to think they just went for a free trip, but if they were sincere, they need to be outed.

Sen Inhofe is one of the ones who went, and he is sincere. Some comments from his press briefing in Copenhagen...

“Here we are six years later, and nothing has changed: cap-and-trade failed in 2003, it failed in 2005, and it failed in 2008. As we look ahead, an economy-wide cap-and-trade bill stands no chance of passing. I want to be sure the 191 countries understand this: again, an economy-wide cap-and-trade bill stands no chance of passing."
