Some tracks they dont show the pools. Which ones would you make a $50 win bet and have that dramatically change the odds? I never know how much is in Dover, Meadows, Flamboro, Scarborough. I always assume that those win pools are tiny

Scarborough, Bangor, Plainridge, Running Aces for sure. Not as much at Western, Georgian, Windsor, Flamboro and Dover.

The first four I mentioned are the smallest harness pools I know of. :)

Northville and Sports Creek in the winter for sure. Hit a $3 exacta bet there before it closed (fall meet Northville) and took down 15% of the pool.

Vernon Downs

I dropped 20 on the nose on a horse that was something like 15-1 and he instantly went to 5 or 6 to 1 on the next click........if memory serves me right.

He won..........

i saw rockingham park with $8000 win pools this year. rockingham used to be the biggest harness track in america before medowlands was open. the people that own rockingham claimed that they had a profitable meet this year even without slots.

That is good stuff thanks Ray

I'm going to have to visit the harness forum here guess I've been ignorant. Finished 25th in the M1 survival contest (harness) last meet I'll start posting some picks and angles I use.

I like the flats more but always seem to get better prices (win) at harness tracks. Without Trackmaster Platinum I would be lost find it indispensable.

It's amazing the size of the pools Northfield gets considering the garbage that runs, there. The horseman must've made a horrible deal. The purses should be much bigger.

Nice work Ray2000 always enjoy you're input. As one other poster replied with regards to Windsor and Flammy, IMO leave em alone if you want profit you better be on the inside "BIG TIME".

Thanks guys

I noticed a bad error on The Meadows, should be more like $6000 win pools. The Canadian tracks are the most accurate, since they publish their handles/pools. The US tracks I did by hand and don't include as many nights. I never did Tioga.

I think Maywood get a lot of money because it starts and ends later and for a time is the only game in town. Dover also runs during a time when there isn't much competition.

You've got that right. I've seen win pools at Scarborough, Bangor and Running Aces that were less than $500. Lebanon and Raceway Park can crack $500, but $1000 is pushing it.

On a Monday or Tuesday, you can catch win pools at Plainridge over $2000, sometimes $3000; but on a Thursday or Saturday, forget it. They'll stay in the triple digits.
