Did anyone catch : Next to Kendra #8 wiring the field?

In my handicapping -- the key in my mind was her Dam's Sire who's average win distance was 8.5 furlongs. No other horse had even near the same pedigree for going long . By no means am I a pedigree expert, but from what I've gleaned the Dam's sire is perhaps even a bigger influence than the Sire for distance.

Anyone else use Bris pp's for this kind of thing? Or could anybody second my analysis re: Dam's sire's influence. I am long time handicapper who is newer to pedigree stuff.

I had a stable notification to play him to win next out.

I was watching his race in Oct (off layoff) where he ran on the front the whole way, he smoked the track 8F on turf. (His maiden sp weight in Feb same thing)

But last out they had him running 6.5F, way too short for him.

Thought Next of Kendra would go off as chalk ( M/L was 6-1 but I had pegged his real odds at about 4-1.)

How he went off at 13-1 was like a gift.

Dynaformer broodmare sire helped I'm sure.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes, that was a hell-of-a value score!
