I'm examining the data structure layout of BRIS' Instant Chart Files (http://j.mp/88lrc6)
It has the following fields:
11. FRACTION #1 (if any) NUMERIC 999.99 6
12. FRACTION #2 (if any) NUMERIC 999.99 6
13. FRACTION #3 (if any) NUMERIC 999.99 6
14. FRACTION #4 (if any) NUMERIC 999.99 6
15. FRACTION #5 (if any) NUMERIC 999.99 6
but it seems only the Comprehensive files have at what distance each of these fractional split times were taken at.
For instance, using the Sample Instant Chart File (http://www.brisnet.com/samples/cdx1125y.zip) provided by Brisnet, I had to download the PDF charts from Equibase to see that for the first race (over 2 miles) the splits were at:
1/2 1m 11/2 13/4 Str Fin
while for the 4th race (6.5f), the splits were at:
Start 1/4 1/2 Str Fin
Is there a set system of (and a link to) what split distances are used for each race distance for BRIS Instant Chart Files?
All help is appreciated.
