The owner and trainer should both be fined and suspended. I've always thought Woodard was a bit of an operator.

Let me get this straight...the horse identifier was only fined $250! What a freaking joke! What else does she have to do? Check the damn tattoo, how hard can this be? This should never, ever happen....EVER! EVER!! EVER!!!

It's not hard, it's just rather sloppy, that's why they carry a towel

If she's worried about some horse spit, find a new job...there is no excuse. $250 is a joke, surely many people lost more than that betting the "wrong" horse in the race. Of course, the others should be punished, but this woman is ultimately responsible to the public.

Yeah, I agree. Someone should be fining the track itself.

Even if this WAS just an "honest error" this is a credibilty issue and it should be dealt with severey.

It's interesting to note that this was not the only time for Woodward:
"Steve Zaper, an investigator with the racing commission, said Woodard was fined $500 for leading the wrong horse to the paddock, and was fined another $250 for bringing the wrong horse over on another day at River Downs . (That horse was scratched and didn't race.)"

Is who won money by looking at the WG-2s,just to make sure the owners/trainers did not benefit directly. Then they should be heavily fined and suspended for the meet. And if they won money, they should be charged with fraud.

Won't work, I don't believe any of the winning payoffs were signers.
