For some odd reason I can remember going tapped at the track way to often!!

It's sad cuz I play lots of cards and I feel I need a decent bank roll to play smart but at the track it's just reckless to say the least

4 years ago we were taking our annual trip from nj to gulfstream and I couldn't wait dogs horses poker and jai alai what's better then that???!!!!

Well the plane leaves at 7:45 that wedsday figure we will get there by 10 at gp by 12.....

Not so fast...I got to go to the meadowlands and drop 900 and just ruin the trip rite there...just can't stay home and relax...tapioca

Then there's the go empty on the 15th at northfield on a Friday nite when u could have saved it for a great Saturday card!!!!

Anybody ever lose there case money by a horse breaking

It's such a sickening feeling going tap at the track

I mean bills are paid but your gambling $ is gone

How bout walking in the track with 500 betting big pick 4s and tri's only to be down to your last bet which is 3 win on an 8-5 hahaha

Am I the only one or is there company......??????

Man is the least disciplined of all the Earths creatures. I seldom go to the track to see live racing, but I do feel the need to play more when I do. Its usually with novices who think we have to bet em all...so naturally I go ahead and act like a novice and do just that. I fell the need to keep them entertained and watching the horses run with no bet is not very exciting to them...so we bet. Heck, they have a tough time waiting the 20-25 mins btw races, so passing on one is outta the question. Thats when i am reckless.

He doesn't qualify for that. He already said that his bills were paid.

I went to Aqueduct today with $40. I don't think that even qualifies for case money status.

My best friend died a few years ago but he had a great philosophy.

Many, many years ago we were out for a ride and decided to go to Liberty Bell park. After we got in we had 7 bucks between us. He held the money and I handicapped and I got on a roll. It was a rainy sloppy night and the longshots were coming in like clockwork.
Comes the last race and I give him a 20/1 shot to bet and it lost by a nose. On the way out I asked him how much we won. He hands me the tickets from the last race and says we lost 7 bucks. I look at the tickets and he bet 700 bucks on the last race.
He had a bad habit of betting it all on the next race, all the time.

Jeez.You guys blow me away.

It has at times taken me 8-10 months to lose a $2 G bankroll making $20 plays.

But it still feels like crap!!

If I lost it in a weekend I'd have to go out and look up Sister Helen Julia and tell her to bring a pack of rulers for that sin:cool:

This is how i'm running....my friend bets 304 into the Hollywood pk6 today he's gives out percentages to whoever wants in at the casino so I throw in 30 to get 10%......

Long story short we single the 7 in the 8th it's paying 16500 and we have multiple 5/6 combinations

This can be the one moment on horse racing that stuns me myself hitting a pick 6 the thought makes me cringe cuz I no I'm not hitting it..who am I to drill a pk6 for 16500 or 1800 which was my share

Down the lane the 1 breaks down so my yelling and going crazy stops and I really can't even enjoy a score

So it's just wierd after I start a losing thread last nite less then 24 hours later I get one of my biggest scores
