Anyone using it yet?
Any problems? Incompatibilities?

I keep refusing the downloads until I know it won't screw up everything.

It isn't that new. I have been using it for at least 6 months with no problems. Seems like it was introduced around March or April.

I've used it for about 4 or 5 mo's now and have no problems. The only problem I've ran into is when I go into a client and they are running 7 or earlier, it takes a minute to rethink the setup. I have all five of my computers at home on it.

Take the plunge. The water's fine.

I find Opera much better then any version of IE take a look. In fact I can't remember the last time I fired up IE as it's Firefox, Chrome, Or Opera depending on what site I visit.

Opera mobile is also getting great reviews and more market share.

The only reason I use IE is that some backwards-thinking websites require it.
Normally, I use FF.

This seems potentially serious. I'm using IE6XP on my desktop & my new laptop has IE8Vista. Except for minor differences & one major one (tabbed browsing), it is OK - I've turned off the tabbed browsing. I'm probably going to go to IE8.
Any opinions?

IE6 is a magnet for viruses, probably the worst browser ever, and creates untold headaches for web designers as it doesn't support standards and they have to code special tweaks specifically for it. Get rid of it, the web will thank you!

like Ralph said, Chrome!

I am using IE6.....still haven't gotten a warm feeling about 7 yet!
I guess I will try 8.

I started to download it, but after reading the clause about Accelerators in the users agreement, I aborted (sorry Boxcar!). Seems like a huge hole to me. Probably the same in IE6, but I didn't read that one. I think I will pass.
XP is the last OS I will ever get anyway, when it is gone, so am I, so why bother now? My computer days are limited.

Well, I installed IE8 - what a mistake! POS is all it is.
Took 5 re-stars to finally get my mouse to move again.
The top toolbars are all BLACK. Like, you cannot read a thing in them.
Is there a way to make this browser readable, other than my restore point?
I assume there is a HELP button somewhere, but being all in black, dammed if I can find it.

Now that I've used it for several weeks, other than buttons not being where I'm used to, it is OK.
I shut off tabbed browsing - don't need or want it.
Only weirdness occurs on this site. With IE6, on all sites hitting the back button takes me back to where I was. ON PA, I go back to top of page I was at & must scroll down to get to where I was. This doesn't happen on DRF or Bloodhorse or other forums. Is there a setting I'm missing or has this page changed - thanks?

I've noticed that too...if you click the "compatibility mode" while on a page here at PA, that might fix the issue...

That seems to do it - thanks.

You should be able to uninstall it, I use IE for nothing and I am quite happy with Firefox and Chrome.
