I live in NC and have a hard time getting a bet on horse racing. Right now I have to drive 70 miles to a CNL OTB. I have had so many bad experiences with CNL I would rather quit betting than return to a CNL OTB or their live meet.

Bodog will take my wagers. Has anyone had any bad experiences with bodog? Can anyone recommend Bodog?

Thanks!

I have never used Bodog for betting horses or sports, but I have played plenty of online poker there and always thought their support was very good. I never had any problems getting money in or out in a timely manner.

I live 10 minutes away from the COLONIAL DOWNS OTB, has to be the worst run business in the world, i won't go there if they were giving money away, why don't you try TWINSPIRES very good service lots of freebes, i'm very happy w/ them.

I would love to bet with twin spires. Twin spires doesn't accept wagers from NC residents. In fact, Bodog is the online wagering service I have found that accepts wagers from NC residents.

Bodog is an "A Rated" Book, and one of only a few Books I personally recommend!

I've done business, both as a user and a provider, with Bodog for years and have never had a problem in either capacity.

I also have an account with eHorse and have nothing but positive things to say about them. I would be surprised if they didn't accept your account based upon residency.

Ehorse is not a reputable company. They made me jump through hoops to get my money and they have only gotten worse over the past two years (From a B- to D rating). Here are the last two updates from Sportsbook Review:

LasPalmas slowpays update (http://www.sportsbookreview.com/NewsWire/3889/laspalmas-slowpays-update.aspx)
LasPalmas (SBR rating D) owes 8 players $110,400 according to complaints filed with SBR. The amounts requested range back to January of 2009. LasPalmas (http://www.sportsbookreview.com/sbr/laspalmas/) payments have been erratic, players that have what are considered to be manageable balances are paid ahead of those who have waited for months longer.

An SBRforum (http://forum.sbrforum.com/) reader reported last week that LasPalmas solicited him for a 100% signup bonus. Any such offer should raise a red flag to any industry player. SBR advises those who maintain balances at any of the sportsbooks in the Horizon 20 (http://www.sportsbookreview.com/Sportsbooks+Ratings/Relation/#Horizon+Twenty) family which includes ehorse (http://www.sportsbookreview.com/sbr/ehorse/) and ehorse-X (http://www.sportsbookreview.com/sbr/ehorsex/) to cease wagering activity until LasPalmas can document that it can pay balances on time and not months after the fact. 7/28/2009 10:45 AM
LasPalmas slow-pays continue; players owed over $124,000 (http://www.sportsbookreview.com/NewsWire/3775/laspalmas-slow-pays-continue-players-owed-over-124-000.aspx)
LasPalmas (http://www.sportsbookreview.com/sbr/laspalmas/) (SBR rating D+) players report being owed over $124,000. The slow-pays began in January of 2009. LasPalmas stated they had processor problems in February after multiple payout complaints surfaced. Players were assured things were fine and told they could expect to receive funds at the beginning of March. At the start of March a few players were sent small payments, but large balance holders were left to wait and continued to be fed generic email responses. The Las Palmas Group, which includes ehorse (http://www.sportsbookreview.com/sbr/ehorse/) and ehorse-X (http://www.sportsbookreview.com/sbr/ehorsex/), is no longer willing to discuss player complaints with SBR. The largest payment LasPalmas has made this year was via book-to-book transfer of $40,000 on 4/15/09 to a player's Bookmaker.com (http://www.sportsbookreview.com/sbr/bookmaker/) (SBR rating A+) account. Interbook transfers have since been discontinued as LasPalmas payout delays increase. The largest pending payout is more than $34,000 which SBR reported (http://www.sportsbookreview.com/NewsWire/3732/laspalmas-closes-account-nonrecreational-play-player-owed-34-439-45-since-march-7th-2009.aspx) on 6/17/09.
