I don't like anything for a single in race 6-7-8 pick 3. the 5th tri or super looks like a possibility although the only thing consistant about these runners at the mountain is that they are inconsistant. the 1 horse in race 9 is a 1-2 chalk :D

I haven't looked at Mnr for tonight yet, so I can't speak to any of your picks, but just be aware (look the charts if you didn't see the races) that last night, the track was somewhat wet fast and there was a massive early speed bias. A number of weak hearted sprinters had plenty of gas to finish the job and some of the losers that normally would have been burnt up and finished up the track, still had enough gas to finish ok. After about 2/3 of the card was completed, the jockeys seemed to catch on a bit that they needed to be up close, and everyone was gunning coming out of the gate, setting up the only two real speed duels with causlaties of the night, but not even they could overcome the bias against the likely best horse in the 8th, and to some extent in the 9th (although an out of the clouds 20/1 shot did get up for 2nd).

If you want to see specific race comments, go back and look at the "post your picks" thread from last night and you'll see mine and others comments on most of the races. It was a truly awesome night even though I made a few betting mistakes. I have no idea if the bias will hold tonight or the track will be changing, or even if people will catch on a bit more, but I'll just say that it was so strong enough last night, I'm trying to rearrange my plans for the night, just so I can be available in case the bias is still there!

Good luck!

Talk about betting mistakes I had both the $34 and $67 horse in gimmicks and didn't collect a cent :bang: But it's why I love the Mountain one nice score can make a nights work very rewarding.

Also some of the chalks were big drop downs I try to stay away from them if possible. If they win so be it the price is almost never right on those types.

I wasn't paying attention and missed his odds moving up near post time.

I liked some of the lower priced horses last night, and tried to use them in the exotics. I thought 6.20 on the horse in the eighth was a steal, and singled him in the late double. Now if only my 20/1 bomb that ran 2nd in the 9th would have gotten up, my double woudl have been about 6x bigger!

Thanks for the feedback. I'll check out the track condition as I handicapped for a fast track.

race 2 2-3-9-8I was thinking after I posted that if you changed your picks and then your original horses won, you'll hate me forever, haha! You're a good handicapper, trust yourself. I just didn't want you to get caught flat footed if the track plays like last night. I suspect that since it should be drying out, that it could change dramatically, and we'll need to watch.

So far speed looks good, but not much value yet (I couldn't ever have the first winner).

me neither. let's see how the 4th goes. I like 6-10-9-2. one first timer in the race who will probably be the spoiler. I'll just watch this one.

I'll just watch this one.I only have the 10 & 9 on my pick 3 tickets, but it wouldn't be a surprise to me if some wacko horse jumped up here and won. None of these are world beaters.

result 8-2-4 $83 should have played the exacta 8-2 $29 :mad:The exacta was definitely the real value there. I had it and the trifecta, but the trifecta would have been much better if the darn 4 would have given up and let the 10 in there in third. Overall, a pretty rough night for me. Tonight, I think I tried to force way too many bets trying to manufacture value instead just taking advantage of it. The 8th bailed me out to give me a whopping 9 dollar profit for the night, but given how bad it could have been, I'll take it.

Have a good thanksgiving. I'm headed to Vegas for some football, poker, beer and maybe even see my family when I'm there, lol.
