it just never fails... when the horse looks that good to you,it
is not going to win, regardless of odds.
yes, the work may have hurt fc, and santos curiously took the
rail when all other riders were taking the 2,3, and 4 lanes all damn day.
had jose taken that path, em would have had a wider trip
and, guess what, we might have had a photo finish or possible win by tmw.And,if santos took the middle lane and lost, we still would be second guessing that maneuver

fact is,this whole triple crown episode requires a horse
of iron which fc,unfortunately is not..

this race was purely funny cide's race to lose(or win),and,
in the final analysis looked like a replay of the wood, since
em appeared to be the monster most handicappers feared.
the belmont crowd(as far as the grandstand/clubhouse area)
was the most enthusiastic crowd i have ever seen due
to ny bred rivalry and pride of this state,which was great to see.

when it is all said and done, sackatoga's owners and the
new york bred thoroughbred association have alot
of bragging rights with this courageous gelding
and racing crew
