I played the Dorsal Fins, giving ten points to the Corsairs, but I know what I'm getting in that match race: 10/11. I can rarely play the ponies live (e.g.,tonight), and odds on just won't work for me. I'll say $5.00 is my minimum (I'm greedy ... :blush: ).

this horse is an incredibly poor bet, in a bad race in general

he's probably loose -- but it wouldn't be that huge a surprise if the 6 runs with him at some point

as you mentioned, he absolutely can't get 6F

he'll be a short price

on the other hand, those playing him figure that the course will be rock hard and carry him

and the 5 won't be ready

One sad thing I've noticed: when Steve Knapp claims a horse, in a few months time they're running at the bottom. He ruins so many of these. Here's a tough customer, Midwesterner, who's been decimated in less than a year's time.

I see it over and over with his claims. What does he do to them?

Place pick all paid $12,297. Maybe next time Toe. Anyrate hindsight from my system output showed the winners of races 2-6 all had the top LP,using Bris. Winner of the 7th race had 2nd LP (with top LP completing the exacta,had that). Winner of the last was 3rd LP. Loved that horse,missed the exacta. Only your horse,Magic Texan in the opener ruined the pattern. A couple of notable false favorites. AuntGrace in the 4th @ even $. Negative class drop. And Big Jay,in the last,the top ranked closer. He had a pattern even Big Brown could not overcome.

A while back when GG opened with Tapeta,it was all closers. It was the easiest money. All I had to do was box the 3 closers according to my Bris reports. But then it changed dramatically and the feasting dried up. Got a feeling the same thing thing is happening here at Hol. Get em while you can.
