Capitalism,whatever its excesses and faults are,is infinitely better than socialism.History has proved that time and time again.Manipulated oil prices?Perhaps.You might be amused to know that one prominent conservative commentator,Bill O'Reilly agrees with that theory.For another side of the oil coin,look at Mexico.Its state run(socialism) oil company Pemex is no longer competitive on the worlds markets due to aging and obsolete infrastructure and mismanagement.Thanks,but I will stick to the free enterprise system because it still works,and oppose Socialist Marxist/Leninist proposals whenever they are encountered.

Thirty years?How about more than 75 years of gradual socialism.It started with FDR and gained momentum from there,in all administrations with the possible exception of Reagans.There is a saying that Democrats accept socialism willingly while Republicans accept it reluctantly.Why do you think that we older conservatives are so angry,bitter,and militant?It is because we have seen the gradual march of socialism all of our lives,and now we are face to face with its final push,and realize that we must defeat it now or else lose America as we once knew it.
