This is what I'm proposing:
1. Have a $20 million challenge between Rachel Alexandra and Zenyatta (and any other racehorse - male or female) for a five race series spread out over a twelve month period.
2. A) The series will begin with a race at Gulfstream sometime in February. B) Race two will be at Churchill Downs during Kentucky Derby week. C) Race three will be at Arlington Park sometime in late July or early August. D) Race four will be at Saratoga the first week of September to close the meeting. E) The final race will be at Santa Anita sometime in December.
3. Each race would hold a purse of $1 million with a commitment from Mr. Jackson & Mr. Moss to run in all five races if their fillies are in top health.
4. All of the participating racetracks, television networks, and any major corporation that wish to be a sponsor will put up a $20 million bonus to Rachel Alexandra and Zenyatta based on a simple point system i.e. 5 points for a win - 3 points for place - 1 point for a showing.
This would bring high profile media attention to thoroughbred racing and we'll all find out which one is best.
