Late Saturday night the house approved a bipartisan health care reform bill. Congratulations Nancy Pelosi for getting this bill approved inspite of the millions of dollars spent by David Hoch, Dick Armey and the insurance industry in an attempt to dismantle this legislation.
Armey and Hoch are now conferring to determine how many senators they must buy to stall this bill in the senate. They are also discussing plans for recruiting more lower educated old white guys to protest. They have talked to crybaby Glenn Beck and blowhard Rush Limbaugh and are assured their support in duping the public.

Bipartisan? With exactly one Republican (from a predominantly Democrat district in Louisiana) voting for it, and with 39 members of her own party voting against it? The opposition was more bipartisan than the support!

5 vote margin in a dem controlled house.
Real impressive. Bi-partisan?

EP has rather low standards.

The more accurate title would be:

Pelosi pushes through bill despite strong bi-partisan opposition

What did I say in the thread I started? These drones are sooooo predictable.
One "yes" vote by a RINO = a huge bipartisan effort.

you're right on the money about the large bipartisan opposition!

If you even want to embellish the term by ascribing such to him.

what a banner week for Obama and the democrats.

they begin by getting routed in elections in two large states that they just carried handily one year ago.

next they're greeted with more indications that their ridiculous waste of money AKA the stimulus has most likely hindered real economic growth and has paved the way for a 30 year high in the unemployment rate.

their foreign policy is in shambles with Iran making us look like fools, and a rudderless ship in terms of the wars.

how do they cap off this banner week? by ramming through the house the largest powergrab/tax increase/job killing/economy wrecking regulation bonanza in history.

let's all raise our glasses and make a toast to this awesome display of brilliance.

Hey...you forgot a biggie: We mustn't forget that that whacko Muslim major blamed BO for his actions. Because BO didn't keep his word     ('scuse me while I clean up the coffee I just spilled), this was enough to send this madman over the edge.

Now...we have to keep this in perspective: If this had happened on Bush's watch and this guy blamed Bush, we all know that this would have made the headlines in virtually every rag in America -- something along the lines:

SHOOTER BLAMES BUSH

So, as you essentially said, all in all -- not a really good week for BO and his merry band of pinkos.

I see that your standards are right down there in the gutter with EP's.

Tell us, NJ: Was there more bipartisan opposition or support for the bill? Suggestion: get out your trusty calculator and punch the numbers in.

Anybody with any foresight at all should have seen this one coming.

Allowing them to Govern will be their downfall........

Whoopsie.

The glow from a health care triumph faded quickly for President Barack Obama on Sunday as Democrats realized the bill they fought so hard to pass in the House has nowhere to go in the Senate. :D

The House bill is dead on arrival in the Senate.

Speaking from the Rose Garden about 14 hours after the late Saturday vote, Obama urged senators to be like runners on a relay team and "take the baton and bring this effort to the finish line on behalf of the American people."

The emoticons indicate that the poster of this thread is feeling smug about the health care bill. This bill will be what dooms the reign of Barack Hussein the first. It will be skewered immediately in the senate and will be a colossal embarrassment to BHO. These left wingers (fortunately) don't have the juice to screw this country up as bad as they would like to.

Its quite clear of the end game they have marked out, transportation about 1/3 of the economy and health care another 21% and that would be over 50% that would be upside down as if everything else was on track. It is just a fact that the McGovernics have no idea what makes this country tick. The team that got Carter elected were the principles involved with this administration's rise to power. The Bilderberg Group raped many in the stock market when Barneys housing crash came about. Tarp moneys from our government in a shell game to buy smaller banks for the Bilderberg Group, and carbon taxes planned for everyone paid directly to the world bank. This is just the start unless people wake up. Every single campaign promise made turned out to be a complete lie. If my percentages are not accurate please post different.
