I need help.

Here are the conditions for todays 9th at Churchill:
"For 3 year olds and upward which have never won $7,500 twice other than maiden, claiming or starter or which have never won 3 races"

My question:
What will these race conditions look like in the Form when the race shows up in the pps having already run??

Thanks http://paceandcap.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif

I would say Alw nw2x

If there is a dollar value involved in the conditions I believe they use NW$y. You have to either know the purse values involved at a track, or look back at the charts to see if the race was a nw1 nw2 or nw3.

I believe they use NW$y.

The 'y' would not be listed as there is no time restriction in the conditions of the race.

I agree, but I believe that is what they are doing at least in Bris PPs whenever an allowance or optional claimer has a condition of "never won $value once, twice etc". I have no idea what the y is supposed to stand for.

It's not an optional claimer - it is an allowance race. The use the low purse to ensure no horse has won an allowance of any concern.

Tom's response Alw NW2X is correct.

In the 9th race at Churchill today cited in Richie's original example the #2 horse Bearpath's last race at KEE4th Oct11 is designated as
ALW54000n$y in the Bris PPs. Looking up the PPs for that Oct11 race the race conditions are given as FOR 3YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD WHICH HAVE NEVER WON $7500 TWICE OTHER THAN MAIDEN CLAIMING OR STARTER OR WHICH HAVE NEVER WON THREE RACES.

They use the same "n$y" in the PPs whether the conditions state "won $7500 twice, once or three times." If there is no "won $7500" involved in the conditions they will use nx1, nx2, nx3. The Bris PPs are full of n$y class designations.

My experience is that I never use BRIS conditions, running styles, speed points.........too loosey goosey at BRIS for me. Accuracy is not their forte.
The nw$y would incicate a classified allowance race to me, not an "other than" which it is.
