going next weekend for the first trip this year.

the only gambling I do is bet horses, so I'm primarily interested in a casino as a race book place

the past few years, especially since the Bellagio went to a smoke free poker room, I've favored the race book there as I see NO smoking over in the corner of the r/b next to the poker room

CP is a not too distant contender, also

Stardust has remained a favorite of mine for many many years

I'm hearing good things about the Palms

I kinda like Bally's, but it isn't "comfortable" for a half day at a time to me and Harrah's isn't too bad either

do any posters here have any comments/thoughts/advice for a pleasurable location for a trio of eight hour stays for the weekend?

Do a search on PA for Vegas or racebook, there are numerous threads specifically about this topic.

I'll be there from the 14th thru the 21st. Staying at The Mirage w/ friends at Ceasar's. Palms is very nice. Was there in Nov. B is top shelf. If you have not been to the Palms, I would suggest it. My favorite casino overall.

Good Luck

thanks for the replies folks ...

I've talked to four people in the past few days who really like the Palms race book, so, I'll definitely try it whilst I'm there next weekend

this will be the first time I've stayed at the Nugget in twenty years ...
but the buddy of mine who is paying for the trip likes it downtown so
I'm not whining

I like to stay at the Luxor, CP, Ballys, Mirage, Hilton ... in that order ...but that is due to me being a cheapskate ...

if money were no object
I'd stay at
Four Seasons
Bellagio
Venitian
Mandalay Bay
in that order .... LOL

My wife and I had to cancel a trip to Bally's later this month, as she let work get in the way ....
NOT me ...
I got a free trip as a reward for helping my buddy with some advice ....
good pay ... LOL
