Formerly, when I called up Google on my home computer, I would get the standard search term field/window with two buttons below it, one labeled "Google Search", and the other "I'm Feeling Lucky". Now those two buttons are gone, and I don't recall any settings change that I might have made to delete or hide them. (In order to do a search, I now type my search term into the window, and then hit "Return".) How do I go about restoring those buttons (since I don't know how they might have gotten deleted)?

Uninstall your old java runtime environment in add/remove programs if you have it.

Then download and install the new Java Runtime

google "bucket tests" many different changes....one of the changes they have been testing was no buttons...but I believe moving your mouse would cause the buttons to slowly appear.

its not necessarily the cause here...but any time you notice any Google changes...its possible its Google experimenting. They get so much traffic that they pretty much let anyone try anything, no matter how outlandish, with very tiny subsets of visitors.

If thats the case, clearing your cache/cookies should make it go back to normal.
