BETITANDFORGETIT, A CONDITIONAL BETTING PROGRAM as it develops.

The betting condition is;
WIN AND ECACTA BETTING. minimum field size is 7 betting interest
BET TO WIN IF MODEL SELECTION IS 1ST OR SECOND IN THE BETTING
BET EXACTA IF MODEL SELECTION IS FAVORITE, BET 1/2ND AND 3RD BETTING CHOICES
BET EXACTA IF MODEL SELECTION IS 2ND FAVORITE, BET 2/1, (2ND FAV/FAV).

So far, the program can log onto the Twinspire web site.
Enters the two pass words,
Specify the track
Calls up the win pool dollars

An starts analysis of the win pool dollars occurs when the minuets to post is 0.
The program refreshes the pool dollars just after 0 minuets to post.
It then determines the 1st,2nd and 3rd betting choices by analyzing the win pool dollars.
That’s where I am right now.
Eventually, the program will read much of the conditional betting requirements from an excel file and then continue on to the web site for betting.

Sounds awesome. Keep us posted on your progress.

This is so much easier for me than a few years ago.
The amount of code is much much less..
here is the excel file I developed then.
The new program can now read it and implement it .

It seems I can do some real crazy stuff, like compare the "will pay pools" dd,ex,pics and compare them to the win pools..nothing between there and here but work. The technology is in hand...

However, making money from the bets is still another story..

Is this going to offered by Ron Popiel? ;)

Is this going to offered by Ron Popiel? ;)HA! I have a Popiel "Pocket Fisherman" that I bought at a garage sale for 25 cents I found a couple years back. I keep thinking I'll give it as a gift to one of my family members (we all love to fish), but I just don't seem to be able to part with it! It sits on a shelf gathering dust instead.

Hopefully Formula's program catches more winners that that thing catches fish!

Program can now read the excel bet conditions.
Reading from the excel betitandforgetit file, program can now;
Call up the browser
Enter id and pin numbers
Enter track
Wait for the race win pool to open.
Once the race pool is open it will monitor betting conditions.

Now I need to wait for the tacks to open to test the conditional bet
And then make sure the bet gets submitted.

Bet size, can be entered in the betitandforget excel file or
Can be determined within the program as a % of the win pool.

You will be able to place a bet of say 1% of the horse’s win pool dollars, not to exceed, say , a maximum of say $100.
The final bet amount has to be structured to meet the adw’s wage increments...not a problem.

After all that gets done, the programs has to loop back to the excel file and pick up the next bet conditions (track, race number, pgno no…etc)

back in 2004, when I first started this, it took me weeks to progress this far, and then it did not work well..whole different story today..

piece of cake...

have to make some changes such as Twinspire does not use say "5" for race number when making the bet. it has to be # 5.
But when calling up the race it's "5"
Also some of the track names in the excel file have to be updated with Twinspire names such as: its not "Woodbine" rather, "Woodbine T-bred"
All small stuff, once you figure it out :)

program for the model works very well, very well.

Now I'm going to see if I can catch the falling dagger.

In 13864 exacta races, the 1/2 combintion won 10% of the races.
21% of those races were overlays.
The overlay was calculated on a 17% win pool take.
Interestingly, a flat bet on the 1/2 exacta returned a .92 roi.!!

So 2% of all the exacta races are won by a 1/2 exacta overlay.

Theoretically, I should be able to review every exacta race offered by Twinspire. The big problem of course is to project the final win pool and exacta pool odds on the 1/2 with 0-20 seconds to post and make the bet..

Also, I should be able to write all that data to a file for later study...

Also, I should be able to write all that data to a file for later study...I think the later study is key. Seeing that going off odds produced those positive results should encourage you to do that study, but the real question is can you produce a profitable system based on "when bet" odds, not the going off odds.

Good luck (I actually mean that).

I remember when you started this several years ago and then it stalled as you mention above.

Good luck with the program--it's very interesting and hopefully this time around after so much work you will get it up and running as you want it.

Thanks to both for the good will.
I'm trying to set up something that will allow people to watch the program in action..it's really impressive.. (atleast to me :) )

pha race 5, the 4/3 has been an exacta overlay through out the race

11-10-2009

got to work on this a bit more, 4/5 was the favorite overlay with time to bet the 5 won.
