Older geldings went quick in the first but...

in the 3rd....

Birdrun a son of Birdstone, broke the track record for 1 1/16, with splits of 22.70, 21.89, 23.70, 24.68 and final 1/16th in 6.41....

Those Birdstones can really motor...this one has tons of early foot and just kept going...beating a nice sprinter(Precious Package)into the ground...

late blooming 3 yr old

Wow...Durkin sounded very surprised when announcing it as a new TR, almost as if he doubted the accuracy of the clocking. We'll see...

Belmont Race #:1:

My Line Morning Line
#1 > 7/5 < 5/2
#2 > 15-1 < 4-1
#3 > 60-1 < 3-1
#4 > 40-1 < 15-1
#5 > 6-1 < 7/2
#6 > 7/2 < 15-1
#7 > 11-1 < 8-1

Of course, I can't know my betting decisions, until close to post time, also there could be a scratch, and I would have to adjust.

It was very wet and overcast and generally nasty here for almost a week. Yesterday was the first good racing day in a while with the track finally drying out. Belmont gets very very fast on days when it is drying out. This is a tip. Use it as you will

I'm starting to reconsider my line, the #3 has a good trainer, and has the best

early speed, the most speed points, but she has the worst late pace. Is she fit

enough? That will be answered on the track. In any event, I'll most likely go with

the longshot #6, to W or P, plus my exotic bets. Good Luck with the card....
