Guys I want to buy a notebook mostly for my apt. I want it
very powerful & I might have to install WIN2000 in order to
install a few programs. I'm looking into buying a HP mobile
printer with it. Any specific ideas? derek

laptop ...

I'm a confirmed Dell guy.... have owned multi other brands of desktops, have built close to a hundred more from scratch ...am online this evening configuring a new desktop for my wife's office...

so, when I took a glance here on PA and saw your question, I thought I give it a quick go

I get no money or have anything to do with Dell other than to use their products .. don't even own any DELL stock ...

this is close to one I have and it is a dandy ...
but, I'm of little help on a portable printer .. haven't used one in five years and changes have been large since then so my thoughts would be worthless concerning the printer.

first, I'll make the observation that you don't need the lightweight one, as you stated it was for your apt ... but I'd recommend an external mouse

this one comes with Win2K which you stated you "might have to install"

the "M" processor is a dandy but the higher speed hard drives for laptops are only 5200k which is a decided disadvantage to me

here is a quickie configuration ... don't know how the data will line up on this fourm but it shouldn't be too hard to decipher ...
