Darn, stupid cops! They should have known how to talk the guy out of his combativeness. :mad: :mad: They need to learn how to smooth talk people out of their aggressive behavior.

I suspect that Zilly will indeed bring us up to speed here.

He's previously mentioned a B.C. Inquiry into RCMP and their use of tasers in the death of a man at the Vancouver airport.

Since then RCMP have issued new guidelines on Taser use.

My understanding is that tasers are to be directed to extremities of the body such as arms and legs and not the chest or main torso.
The closer to the heart the more its rhythm is impacted.

I'm not taking a position on the correctness of the police action, but notice how the headline uses "teen" as a sensational attention/sympathy-grabber, but the article itself repeatedly refers to the 19-year-old (correctly from a legal standpoint) as a "man".
