steppenwolfer is in race #2 at fair hills jumping. He was 3rd in the Ky Derby!

yeah I wish I was out there today with the crowds and the rain... maybe sharing a tent with some new friends- having a sausage sandwich and an Ale, cheering on some races.
I absolutely resent being trapped here during most weather outside of march-september in the Ny/Nj area, but for some reason I find the Autumn air and these types of outdoor events to be a great experience.

cool to see Jill Byrne and others with the ceremonies and some familiar race callers as well. Looks like a very nice event.

3 mile steeplethon coming up - fox hunter horses - running through lakes - over obstacles.....should be interesting
