The APA has issued a warning concerng an outbreak of hyperhippephobia in the US and Canada. Hyperhippephobia (an irrational fear of a super-filly) is a sometimes debilitating condition which can strike members of the horseracing community when confronted with an exemplary distaffer. The Hyperhippephobia Society of North American stands ready to help sufferers of this dread disorder, and provides this handy guide to it's diagnosis.

Do one, or more of these symptoms apply to you?

React negatively to the most casual appearance of the name of Jess Jackson's top filly in any PA thread.
Avoiding your "favorite tv show of all time," Friends, since the Preakness.
College students are tempting fate by mentioning Resident Assistants around you by the acronym.
Have started or signed a petition to move the 2010 Breeders' Cup from Churchill Downs to Keeneland, Presque Isle, or Woodbine.
Envision telling Ms. Welch where she can shove those Foster Grants.
Like to question the sportsmanship of the leading HOY contender's connections for using the same discretion in placing their horse that countless other owners and trainers have used in the past, avail themselves of today, and will continue to apply in the future.
Don't worry, help is available. If you, or someone you know suffers from hyperhippephobia contact the professionals at the Hipperhippephobia Society of North America for information on treatment opportunities in your area.

I don't think there will be a cure anytime soon since her connections bowed out on the 2009 season in early september.

That's why it's all the more important for you to CALL NOW. Let them help you go the distance, strive for that extra half-furlong of happiness.

I WOULD LOVE to go back in time and have Jackson retire Racheal after the Oaks or Preakness and see the complaining. Oh man the kicking and screaming, bitching and complaining how racing sucks and we lost a potential great to breeding. Geez

Let people be fans of horses and this GREAT sport! Jesus. Go beat up on owners who duck behind trees facing one type of horses race after race after race or owners that know they can't win outside one race and just retire after the one big race and say their horse is a great. Suurreeee
