In the NFL, its gone. At least for the time being. Last year, we saw the first 0-16 team in the history of the league. Right now, there's several teams that are horrificly bad. We're back to seeing big spreads. St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Kansas City, Oakland, Cleveland and Detroit. The league is so heavy at the bottom that Detroit 0-16 last year and 1-19 since the start of 2008, is considered better than 4 or 5 teams. Right now, Pete Rozelle is turning over in his grave.

What is the o/u for composite wins for those teams? After a quarter mile, they have 2. Three wins for each of those teams would be a total of 18. There's no way they combine for 18 wins. 15-16 might be attainable, but only because these teams could play each other.

There are a ton of bad teams now but what makes the nfl special is how quickly teams can turn it around.

"Parity" is the bill that was sold to justify salary caps which inevitable allow management to pay workers less than they are worth. I'm not sure it ever really existed.

It was definitely there. Now, there are so many big spreads. Back at the height of parity, you wouldn't see many lines over 7. Now they are everywhere.
