Dynevers work out yesterday was extremely impressive.
Not only did he run a bullet best of 6 going 1/2 mile on grass. But he outworked Harlans Holiday ( by almost 3 seconds) and Ocean Drive (by 2/5ths)
Empire Makers Workout was nothing special. But he went decently at 102.61 for 5 Furlongs. 2nd Best of 7. Of the 7 that worked all were within a 5th to 3/5's seconds of one another. So his work was not Heads above like Dynevers were. But just the same it was a Fit workout.
The fact that the Main track condition forced so many horses to work on Grass makes these works a little tougher to Judge. But it's a wrinkle in the sheets, and adds one more component to think about when Handicapping the Race.
