Finally got caught up. Starting late with Race 7 on today's card.

The Buckette looks to go to Windsong Soprano (# 4) with King Davind Miller in the bike. I look to the #1 All Star Hanover and Raising Rachael (# 3) for the undercard.

So far as I can see there is a small crowd this day.

4/1-3 in Ex and Tri

Race 8

I am looking to the #1 who has shown success on a half mile at Nfld. Do not know much about the driver but the horse looks like the one to beat. Again, will be at short odds. Tought to make money in the win pool on these days.

Using all odd numbers undeneath.
1-3,5,7-3,5,7 both in Ex and Tri.

race 7 came in with a close finish.

Small ex $5.60 and small tri $8.40

Did not the scratches...#7 is out in the 8th...subsitute the 7 with the 2.

Not really liking much in this race...will throw a couple bucks on John Campbell and the shipper from Fhld (# 1) Kitefin Hanover. Seems this one has seen some stake company and has faired well. Then add the fact that morning line is 6/1, makes it easier to bet it.

3-1-2....could not get by the 3 horse...oh well...

Race 9

Money is going to the #3 and #6...got to watch the ex probables to see if it worth it to play the ex..

Race 9

Bar Slide looks to be the overwhelming favorite but I am not sold on her since her break last out. These turns are tight and this one seems to excell on the larger ovals. I might be nuts but am taking a shot to get her beat.

My plays:

1,3 /1,2,3,6 ex only.
Taking it light.

I love shipper from Upsandusky Fair that have shown their ability to win and to go under 2 minutes in the process is a bonus.

EJ'S POCKET ROCKET (#1) has it all except proven hands on the lines. This one has a Q license but as far as I can see, that can only help the odds. Playing this one to win and 2nd in the ex.

1-3,4,8 3,4,8-1

Race 11 is a Pass....nothing appeals to me.

Race 12
First elim of the Jugette. Dave Palone got the engine but the only drawback with Ginger and Fred (#1) is that she is slow at the switch. IN most of her races, she is handled easy on the outside till she grinds out to gain the lead, usually past the 1st qtr pole. If Palone wants, she can race in a hole and then tip early. There is no bottom in her.

Under her, I like She's A Fan (# 4) with Jody. This one has speed and just be on the lead so keying her 2nd in tri's might be best.

Using 2 and 5 to complete the tri...#5 Speical Sweetheart surprised them all at Chester n the Valley Vorge a few weeks back but has yet to repeat that effort.

Wow, the inside looks really chewed there Race track Daddy. Bad weather this morning or what?

Nice try. Best horse but no passing lane :bang:

Race 10 Results

Right pick, wrong driver. Horse was locked and cocked and ready to rock but was pinned in. Did manage to get 2nd in the ex to #8. Would of loved to see him get some daylight.

8-1-2-3
Ex 8-1 $21.40

Dave Miller was saying since the rain this morning, the inside is a bit sticky and front runners should be slowing down and those first over should be in the fast track.

2nd Elim of Jugette
The key word here is chalk, as #1 Showherthemoney looks to be heads over the rest.

I guess Jugette DD Races 12 and 13 appear to be 1-1 with a payout of less than a regular parlay...bet Ginger and Fred then parlay the proceeds on #! Showherthemoney

If we are to make any money, it will be in the 3rd leg of the pick-3
I am going 1-1-all and hope for a longshot.

Mel is hooked on Monti :)

This is a classic harness race here. 1-9 shot is 2 for 21 and has to leave from the second tier. I smell overbet :D

6-5-a and 6-a-5 for me.

I recall HR SHerrys Gin Gin..she raced her early career at my home track, the Meadows...she was nice filly and later mare..She rose in the ranks to the top levels...they all get old but on some occassions, like today, the show that old class in the lane..

Dean

I love betting the mighty m in the winter months...love that snow in the background...seems some decent drivers start out there before they move up to Yonkers...Caught Josh Marks, Jordan Straton and others there.

I don't know why I migrate to other tracks (mostly flats) in the summer months. I love the meets at Saratoga and Del Mar which get most of my time and money...then after Labor Day,,it is all stakes in harness...

Should had I want at least 3-1 or better for a win bet on these with the exception of R4 My Aunt Margaret would take 7/5 on that one. Moves to inside post good driver change. Lots to like.

Dean---Yes I like the rolling pic3's at Monti and the free replays on there site of all races. Also it's a rare daytime all year track.

Dean--- I should use a tag line of "bet NO Trifecta's at ANY Pennsylvania track. The takeout rates are ABSURD. An insult to the bettor's. Pocono takes the booby prize.

Don't know who else to play in here, but I thought G&F might be over the top after a long year and a bad fade in last at 1/5.

DeanT
09-23-2009, 02:11 PM
Really bad last quarter last time, so I think you are not crazy to shoot agin her.

She's a Fan was good the last couple up here. I think she can win first up, which she prolly will be. Not bad odds right now.

I will play 4-12's

Ian Meyers
09-23-2009, 02:13 PM
What about Jimmy Morrill? A little cheap but maybe works a trip from outside and she's 30-1?

I'll play Pedigree Snob WP and in exactas. :)

Monti Race 5

I am drawn to the shipper from Harrington...that is one tough circuit and we capp them on my site. This one should be able to handle the field.

(# 4) Rosemont Again...only drawback is the driver. Have not a clue as to his abilitites I am hoping that he is just a passenger and this one knows the way around the track..

Wager is 4-your 7 mel- all in the tri
We almost caught one last race..

Good call on the 5 in last at Monti Daddy. Took a lot of cash my 2 only good for 3rd. Looks like some nice prices in R5 764/7643 ex's.

Seems the Delaware County oval is drying out. The speed on the front end should hold up the rest of the card. Looks like an odds on #1 Showherthemoney.

Noticed that there is no $1 pick three wagering there nor $1 ex...guess they want not the small bettors..when will they get out of the 80's and into the 90's

Race 13 at the Jug

DD 1-1 is paying $5.20
Palone paid $4.20....looks like the parlay will pay less...seems all you need do is to bet opposite me today..lol

At $10 to win or $10 parlay...$21 to bet at 1/9...get back an estimated $23
at $5.20 double, return would of been $26...in the long run a $3 loss is not that bad at trying to beat the odds.

Jugette Race 16
Taking a shot with Ginger and Fred seeing how she got the easiest trip of all and should be in the two hole early. Just hope #2 Showherthemoney stays flat and carries me to the lane...

Play in the 18th is
1-2-3,4,5 in the tri add the 3.4.5.6 for the super.
Saver is a 2-1 ex...

Luck of the draw...winners draw for 1 and 2
place horses draw for 3 and 4..all the way done.

There was some talk about an open draw (which is great for the gamblers but owners would put up such a fight)...the LBJS kicked that idea to the curb...as well as a passing lane and other ideas that could bring this place out of the 80's

RaceTrackDaddy
09-23-2009, 03:55 PM
Check out the cash in the ex on the 4 horse. I thought the 1-2 would be prohibitive either way but some early money on the 4

Scarey part is that Dave Miller is usually weak in the elims and strong in the finals....Speical Sweetheart did beat Ginger and Fred at Chester...

Got me questioning my own cappin

Ian Meyers

Shouldn't have tried to be such a wise guy. Only liked it 2/1 but figured I'd get cute and toss G&F for 2nd. $15 is a square price. Dumb move on my part. :bang:
