Going a little off my usual course and looking in at a two year old race and an Open mare condition this evening.Much to observe tonight, another 16 races tonight....
3rd 3 IDEAL HANOVER the fractions of the qualifier at Chester were no big deal, but this one did finish only a few lengths back of one of the better two year olds this season BJ'S CANOUAN with the trainer Bill Popfinger driving.Popfinger has had a non existant win percentage for years now,but lately has been winning a few "here and there".The price here could be a reason to pass all together,"so we shall see".

8 PARTY LAD here is Popfinger again.Staulbaum is scheduled to drive this one as well.I have never seen this duo team up, so that does interest me a bit. Larry can make one go just about as good as any trainer out there. Here's another off the five day break from his race two back and those top three finishers in there are some good quality raceway stock. This is a drop and this charge has some speed,he should leave here.
2 WEN MARS MEMO the trainer here sends good signals when he puts catchdrivers on his horses. He did not get back on tonight off that break in last in where he was threatening for a win,so that's good.Class may be an issue...watching board.

5 METEOR MAN without a doubt, has one of the biggest hearts and the downright plain grittiest determination of any of the cheaper claimers here on the east coast. It is no surprise to me that Peterson claimed him even off that ridiculous turf line @ the Meds, in were he must have come back sore, and or, lame afterwards. Here is the step to 15's off a few losses since that claim and that should help the price a bit.He looked sound last week after leaving and then getting buried along the pylons.

1 BOSSY VOLO made three moves against a very well meant one in last on a sloppy track, and understandably tired. The trainer here Paul Kelly has always packed a high win percentage from a small stable throughout his career.Bartlett on,the inside post another big plus...Odds??

7 CHANTAL HALL takes a significant drop, from in where she was just outclassed, beaten within a length against DR NABRINSKY,in who has been one of the toughest mares on the east coast this year.I posted about this trainer in previous posts. The owner/driver here, Jimmy Whittimore is one of these talented obscure guys, who 'fly under the radar" and leave the GP wondering, "how he won", as they throw their losing tickets to the ground!!
This animal is in beast like form currently...odds??
We shall see how this mess plays out, on what I am guessing, should be an off track...Good Fortune:).
